The movie was filmed in the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like it did that year. The locations that served as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are family businesses in real life as well.

The Square even puts up Christmas lights like in the movie.. sorry, but where the hell was Christmas??? I think this movie was terrible!!

No, that doesn’t happen, very little was created at that point to create the hand holding

Hallmark hyped it up so we could all watch it with anticipation – what a huge mistake! I know a lot of people are going to roll their eyes at this review, but hey, that’s my opinion. I thought the actors did a good job with what they had to work with, but what really threw me off was very early on when the leads were sitting around the fire and at some point they stood up and suddenly held hands…

The CGI or whatever it’s called was so clearly fake

The fact that the lead actress believes so much in a hat was absurd, she was ready to throw her potential life partner through a hat – really? As another reviewer stated, it was a real bumble and a super duper fumble! I gave it a 6 for the acting, some parts were okay, especially with that grandfather, he came across as likable.

Sorry Hallmark, you missed the mark with this one
